Manager in Consulting Projects

Job Description

The Manager leads the day-to-day execution of one or more client projects while guiding and developing individual team members. A Manager works directly and closely with clients to ensure positive impact and sustainable results. The Manager directly reports to a Director or Partner. The Manager takes ownership of the overall project and its end products and results. The Manager also provides apprenticeship and coaching to Analysts and Consultants to help develop their consulting skills, including sharing knowledge and experience, giving frequent feedback, and creating opportunities for team members to learn and grow. The Manager provides direct oversight of project management within ILIA. The Manager must be able to liaise professionally and soundly with clients and maintain a good relationship with clients throughout and after the project.

Key Responsibilities

Exceptional Projects Proposal and Delivery: lead and manage client engagements, from initial scoping and designing proposals to final delivery

  • Client Business Understanding: develop a deep understanding of the client’s business objectives and challenges, and develop tailored solutions that meet their needs and reach consensus with the client about them
  • Expectation Management: manages client expectations and ensures delivery of client requests, as well as nurturing working relationships with clients throughout the project cycle
  • Scope Management: break the scope of the project, assign tasks to consultants and analysts, and ensure qualified project deliverables and resource management of each project with Staffing support
  • Team Performance: monitor team performance and provide feedback, coaching, and training as needed

Qualifications

  • Education: Master’s degree in Business, Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: +5 years of working experience in management consulting or +10 years of work experience in manager positions.
  • Expertise in function, service, or industry.
